Since this is such a cool way to share recipes -- this blog is now open for my family members to share their recipes, too. I'm looking forward to seeing what recipes they want to share. This is going to be good because they're great cooks. :)

Birth of a Blog

Reading recipe books and trying new recipes has always been a hobby of mine. I have dozens of recipe books I have collected over the years. A trip to the local library usually includes a recipe book or two being checked out. And with the internet, a new recipe is just a click away.

Through the years I have come across recipes that have become family favorites. I'd like to share some of them. Blogging seems to be a great way to do so. Oh, and saving money doesn't hurt any either -- which happens when you make-it-yourself.
